"Raise Your Game"

Day 2 was all about this year's theme "Raise Your Game". I signed up for the Executive Leadership track this year with hopes of learning practical steps to raising my game. Here are my takeaways

1) Be the best version of you - Sally Hogshead's session on "How to Fascinate" was simply "fascinating". She confirmed that authenticity and difference are super powers that make us unique and when we activate our powers, we can change the world. If you want to raise your game, you have to raise your level of awareness and the best version of who you are.

2) EI-EI-EI-EI-UhOh - Dr. Hilliard's session on transformational leadership provided a more in-depth look at how self-awareness is also an integral component of "Emotional Intelligence" (EI). It makes perfect sense, we cannot be transformational leaders without experiencing our own transformation.

3) My final takeaway for this day was a quote shared by Cindy Di Pietrantonio, President and COO of Alex and Ani - "Life can only be understood backwards, but we have to live it forward." What a simple profound statement which further supports the importance of self-awareness. Self-awareness requires that we continue to move forward to embrace our true authentic self.

Becoming self-aware is not an easy task which is why professional development is important throughout your career. I am excited to share with you that I offer leadership development in the form of one-on-one coaching and seminars and workshops. If you are interested in "raising your game" click here to schedule a complimentary 30 minute consultation to discuss how I can help you.

As always, I took plenty of pictures to commemorate the adventures of Day 2. Click on the link to check them out.
